When I was in college I had a mate with whom I shared a keen dedication for boxing training. We’d head out every Saturday morning to a rustic boxing gym under a train station. The training once a week in the ring required training and prep during the week.
One of those forms of training?
A morning run at 6 am in the park.
We’d meet up at a park bench in London just as the sun was coming up and hit it.
Half way through something very interesting would happen.
Three quarters of the way through something even more interesting would happen…
A second wind!
“Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second. Give your dreams all you’ve got and you’ll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you.”
Whether running, pushing the envelope, or growing on some level or frontier of your potential, consider this…
You’ve got a second wind if you stay with it long enough.
