Here’s a word for you…Relentless! Now you google that and one of the search results you’ll get is ‘What is a relentless person?’
Answer… ‘Someone who always tries and never ever gives up.’ Not a bad definition but I think we can move past the cliche. Tim Grover, author of ‘Relentless’ has an even better description.
Tim describes it like this…
‘Being relentless means demanding more of yourself than anyone else could ever demand of you, knowing that every time you stop, you can still do more. You must do more.”
Wow! Imagine if your own demands and standards outweighed and outpaced the demands placed upon you from you school, university or college or work.
Food for thought there. As you can see Tim does not pull any punches! He says it his way.
Just for fun, imagine you and Tim are having a chat and you are just about to start another learning session. Before you lean in Tim shares these three key points. Point 1. “I’m not telling you to love it. I’m telling you to crave the result so intensely that the work is irrelevant.” Point 2. “Mental Dominance is what ultimately makes you unstoppable.” Point 3. “Decide. Commit. Act. Succeed. Repeat.” YOU CAN 'GRADUATE' AND MOVE TO NEXT LEVELS THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH, AND THIS YEAR. SET YOUR OWN STANDARDS. With Arete, Sean A BIT ABOUT TIM S. GROVER Tim S.
