Sometimes asking big questions when we are not in a ready state can be daunting and scary.
Maybe, just maybe it’s totally okay to ask the small questions too.
“Make your questions small, and you reduce the chances of waking the amygdala and arousing debilitating fear. When fear is quiet, the brain can take in the questions and it can pop out answers on its own timetable.” (Maurer)
So instead of trying to come at ‘What’s your grand purpose?” You could try something like…
“What is a next small step where I have the opportunity to act with more intention and purpose within it?” (Maurer)
Far less threatening and incapacitating.
Reachable questions, reachable answers, reachable actions.
