One of my favorite relaxing times in a week is watching my 6 year old train karate.
On a recent training session she was about to enter the dojo.
I watched her about to go on and then she paused, turned and said
“Wait, can I have a hug?”
“Course!” I said and gave her a big squeeze.
“You got this”
She turned back, walked to the start of the dojo, bowed and then went in to train.
Was the training just about the movements?
She stared fear in the face and carried on...
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face... do the thing you cannot do.”
~ Eleanor Roosevelt
What’s a fear to give a 1000 yard stare to?
Go on, glare at it if you have to!
p.s if you like you can hug the fear too!
