Heard of the 10,000 hour rule?
That being it takes this many hours to get to higher levels of mastery.
What if there’s more to that?
“This is how we’ve come to believe that world-class performance comes after 10,000 hours of practice. But that’s wrong. It comes after 10,000 hours of deliberate practice, 12,500 hours of deliberate rest, and 30,000 hours of sleep.”
-Alex Soojung-Kim Pang
12,500 hours of deblierate rest + 30,000 hours of sleep.
Sounds a lot but if you consider how many thousands of hours there are in a year, this adds up.
You could do the maths and/or simply crack on…with deliberate practice + rest + sleep.
