I once ran a workshop with up and coming graduates.
I deliberately say that because they were.
The challenge for some is that they did not necessarily perceive it that way.
Half way through the workshop we had a little fun.
I asked them to imagine the day they would graduate, the day of attaining their degrees.
Each came to the front and walked the way they would walk on the day of their graduation.
After we did that exercise they expressed how they felt more confident and just better. We reflected on what was different….
“PROJECT ON THE OUTSIDE THE WAY YOU WANT TO FEEL ON THE INSIDE.
It’s so important to understand the communication process between emotions and the muscles of your body.”
Bottom line. You don’t need to wait to ‘graduate’ or attain anything in particular in order to walk or carry yourself with more confidence and poise.
You can totally start doing that now.
What would that look like for you?
