Let’s take the premise that deep down we all want to express our potential.
Check this out from Olson
“You may think I’m exaggerating. I’m not. You are capable of great things. I know this, because I’ve observed the human condition, and every soul alive is capable of great things. Most will never achieve them or experience them. But anyone can, if they only understand how the process works. Show up. Show up consistently. Show up consistently with a positive outlook. Be prepared for and committed to the long haul.Cultivate a burning desire backed by faith. Be willing to pay the price. And do the things you’ve committed to doing—even when no one else is watching.” (Olson)
The implications of this?
Gonna sound a bit boring cos we don’t always get this portrayed by those we look to.
There are things specific to your own potential that you are going to need to repeat CONSISTENTLY and get better at incrementally.
Identify what those are and then show up a lot.
Don’t be a one hit wonder.
On the contrary, be willing to become the kind of person that can grind and get better and better and better over time.
There is absolutely no short cut to that process.
Room for better, faster, more effective strategies?
One thing though you just can’t short cut.
Get smart about that and commit to your own commitment.
Commit to your own potential.
