Recently I connected with some friends mid Monday morning and we asked each other how everyone’s weekend was.
After lots of smiles and exchanges we got onto the topic of how active + relaxed we were.
Over the weekend I’d clocked three gym visits, 26 km, a martial arts training session and a cross fit workout.
Was I hammered on Monday morning?
Well rested, well eaten, well hydrated and good to go.
“You know the antidote to exhaustion is not necessarily rest. . . . The antidote to exhaustion is wholeheartedness.” -Brother David Steindl-Rast
What you do in your down time does not have to be extreme. It does not have to be on one side of the scale of all out active, nor does it have to be on the other side of the scale of all out inactive.
Find your sweet spot that gives you those oscillations of well – being and lean in and enjoy.
