A Forest of Potential

Growing up in London, I had a friend from the age for 4 who soon after became a huge fan of Star Wars.

While I did not follow the same path towards those particular ‘Stars’ I did increasingly become intrigued and later inspired by one of the influencer’s on George Lucas (creator of Star Wars).

George Lucas was influenced by an author Joseph Campbell.

Here are just a few snippets of what Campbell has written…

“So that’s what destiny is: simply the fulfilment of the potentialities of the energies in your own system.”

“You enter the forest at the darkest point, where there is no path. Where there is a way or a path, it is someone else’s path. You are not on your own path. If you follow someone else’s way, you are not going to realize your potential.”

If you look up the dictionary definition of the word ‘student’ you’ll find it has not changed!

A ‘Student’ is defined as someone who ‘follows a particular course of study’.

The inspiration for this website, books and resources?

Answer = The new definition of a Student (of Potential) meaning ‘an individual who defines, discovers and develops their own potential.’

Irrespective of being a Star Wars fan or not, a Forest of Potential requires forging a path that no one else has walked.
