There are say on average 30 days in a month which is 672 hours.
This point comes from a book – ‘The Monk who sold his Ferrari’ by Robin Sharma.
I read this while I was in Ireland. Fond memories all round!
As Sharma says:
“Six hundred and seventy-two hours of inner work to profoundly improve every waking moment of the rest of your life is quite a bargain, don’t you think? Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.”
Imagine selecting one area of your potential and within the next 672 hours and taking the time on a regular 24 hr loop to ensure that you tapped it once.
Might be at a set time everyday, might be at a different time. But the point is to keep doing it.
I love playing around with a 30 - day mini goal approach and when I’ve gotten it right in the past it’s because the show up rate has far outweighed the let it pass rate.
Got anything you’re keen to introduce (however small) for the next 30 days?
“All I’m saying is that to liberate the potential of your mind…. you must first expand your imagination. You see, things are always created twice: first in the workshop of the mind and then, and only then, in reality. I call this process ‘blueprinting’ because anything you create in your outer world began as a simple blueprint in your inner world.” (Robin Sharma)
Blue print the next 672 hours and then test that blueprint.
p.s you do not have to blueprint every hour – but more figure out what you’d like to do over the next 30 days (that is within your control + choose 1 thing). Work backwards, map out weekly milestones, then daily milestones and then the duration or time on task each day. Make it fun, easy, inspiring and something you’d enjoy – no need to go all or nothing style. Make the goal so easy ahead so you can bank daily wins.
